Thomas enjoys talking with a variety of groups, giving interviews to journalists and podcasters, and presenting on TV and radio.

In addition to discussing his books, he can speak about the mechanics and mysteries of storytelling, investigative reporting and children’s publishing.

Public Speaking

Past events include Hay Festival, Edinburgh Literary Festival, Cheltenham Literary Festival, Boswell Book Festival, Cambridge Literary Festival, Charlston Literary Festival, Marlborough Literary Festival, Chipping Camden Literary Festival, Prague Literary Festival, Berlin Children’s Literary Festival, Jewish Book Council (USA), Jewish Book Week (London) and Jewish Literary Festival (South Africa).

He enjoys speaking at bookshops such as Daunts, Waterstones, One Tree Books and London Review of Books. He has also given talks at the German Embassy in London, the Austrian embassy in London, the National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam, JW3, Jesus College Cambridge, Sussex University German-Jewish Studies, the British embassy in Berlin and the British embassy in Luxembourg, as well as various schools and business groups. Thomas has also chaired panel events at the German Embassy in London and Belsize Square Synagogue.
