Uxbridge Library - THE HOUSE BY THE LAKE

Following his successful talk 'Hanns and Rudolf' for Holocaust Memorial Day, Thomas Harding returns to Uxbridge Library to talk about his latest book 'The House by the Lake'. Thomas tells the story of a lakeside house once owned by his Jewish forebears and also explores the lives of others who had lived there throughout the 20th century including a wealthy landowner, a renowned composer, a widower and her children, and a Stasi informant.

Thomas Harding is an author and journalist who has written for the Financial Times, Sunday Times, Washington Post, The Guardian, among other publications. He co-founded a television station in Oxford, England, and for many years was an award-winning publisher of a newspaper in West Virginia. He lives in Hampshire, England.
